Today I went into work at 7am, did the show. Immediately after I started setting up for the next show, building it up and such, until noon-ish when I went with a coworker to Starbucks. He got something with four shots of something in it. I got a Salted something or other hot chocolate. It was very good. About 12:30pm the next show started on into production, I was working this one too, and finished about 2:30 or so when I, taking advantage of the half hour opening up, then continued nailing down the needed graphics not yet in my possession for Election night. 4pm rolls around...I take a break for 20 minutes or so. The afternoon news show wrapped about 4:30pm, I work feverishly for half an hour putting together enough elements and DDR flies and opens and bumpers and double boxes and quad boxes to have a rough rehearsal with a phoner and two -more or less- satellite feeds pretending to be the six or seven we'll have tomorrow. I wrap up for the day around 6pm and head to the pool in some kind of dazed haze only to find it is closed until 8:30pm for some swim league or something. It is 8:16 now, I'm at the library. I won't go swimming tonight because I'm pretty tired. Tomorrow I'm getting up around 4am because I'm going to the polls before I go to work because I don't think I'll be able to make the time to vote during the day. What does the schedule hold for tomorrow? Be to work at 7am. Do the show. Probably tweak stuff for the two shows scheduled to tape starting at 12:30pm or 1pm. Start working on Election Night stuff as soon as that is wrapped. Break for the afternoon news. Start on the Election stuff again as soon as the afternoon news is done and continue through till 9pm when we run through another rehearsal for the show at 11pm that is live until around midnight where we then wrap, sleep and show up for work at 7am the next morning.
I'm wondering when I'll get to sleep and eat.
Then there's a special broadcast scheduled for Friday morning, the parental units show up Saturday till Tuesday with another special broadcast Sunday night.
I can't come up with a clever way to end this off the top of my head. So I'm going to go now.

Jonny,
I'm also having trouble sleeping...but it's not because I have too much work to do...it's because I keep waiting for my Suznoozie to say: "Mom, I'm in labor...come on up...now is the time..."
Here it is 2 a.m., almost 3 a.m. and it is the day of the election, and I am up 'cause sleeping evades me. Suznoozie, I hope you're getting rest... Suzy is having trouble sleeping too... The poor girl can hardly turn over in bed thanks to "Baby Boy Melvin"...
Please pray for Suz. She really wants to have a vaginal birth after her original C-Section. She is due on Nov. 7th:-) U.F. and I are ready to go, after we throw our things in the suitcase we're on our way...
Grandma and Grandpa x 2:-)
I will offer up a special VBAC prayer for Suz. Scavo women usually deliver before the midwife arrives. I'll reveal a family secret, olive oil.
Jon' Starbucks is serving free coffee on Election Day. You must be getting a lot of OT; don't forget to spread the wealth.
